The network status project was designed to be a versatile network monitoring tool for a local Internet Service Provider, Cyberwizards. The project aimed to assist identify network problems, by reporting network status on a web page. This project was also needed to be able to run with minimal human intervention.
The Network Status program is predominately written in PHP, to continuously monitor both servers and services on a network, and display the current status on a webpage. It has a database backend to store the current status and configuration, and works flawlessly.
